Closeboard / Feather Edge Panels With Concrete Posts And Gravel Boards
Closeboard and Vertical Feather edge are two names for the same product. Our most popular fence type due to its robust construction and relative affordability. We use a minimum of 19 pressure treated brown pieces per 6ft width and use thick and durable backing rails ex 50x35.
We stock 3ft, 4ft, 5ft, 5ft6" and 6ft high panels. Paired with concrete posts and gravel boards this is our best selling fence package. Concrete posts and gravel boards ensure the panel doesn't rot at ground level.
Concrete posts will long outlast equivalent timber posts. Concrete posts can last for unto 25 years and require no maintenance.
Closeboard / Vertical Feather Edge Panels With Timber Posts
Our best selling Closeboard / Vertical Feather edge panels can also be fitted with timber posts and timber kickboards.
Some customers prefer the natural appearance of timber instead of concrete. We always recommend adding a concrete or metal spur to extend the life of timber posts.
The timber posts rot at ground level and can snap in strong winds, the addition of a spur prevents the posts from snapping as they provide a concrete or metal anchor into the ground.
Larch Lap Panels
Our budget option is the larch lap panel made using battens and horizontal larch slats.
These light weight panels can be ordered to match with your existing panels. They fit into slotted concrete posts or can be fixed into timber posts.
Picket Panels
Our heavy duty picket panels compliment any front or rear garden. Available in flat top, rounded or safety point styles.
We can make these panels to specific sizes if fitting into existing posts or piers. Constructed using pressure treated brown ex 22mm thick picket pieces and ex 50x35 backing rails these picket panels are built to last.
They are ideal for creating boundaries where you don't wish to block out the light, giving a greater sense of space. Picket fencing can be installed with timber or concrete posts and gravel boards.
Shiplap Panels
Our ex 19mm Shiplap is planed and treated timber that we use on our sheds. The tanalisation treatment gives these panels a yellow/green appearance. Once dry they go a lovely golden colour.
Shiplap can also be used to make attractive and durable fence panels. Available either horizontal or vertical designs. If you are looking for something a little special in your garden the shiplap panels can be combined with prepared battens.
Slatted Battens
We can offer either prepared yellow/green or pressure treated brown sawn timber.
These stylish and contemporary panels are available in either single sided, so that you can see through, or double sided for more privacy. These trellis panels can be added on top of other types of panels. Available in a range of heights and widths.
DuraPost Range
We are proud to be stockists of Birikdale's DuraPost range. DuraPost are made from galvanised steel and powder coated to give an anthracite colour finish. Being much lighter than concrete but more durable than timber they offer another alternative. They are a stylish addition to any outdoor space.
They can be used as a traditional fence post being slotted they can fit any of our panels and gravel boards. Alternatively they can be fitted on top of walls or onto concrete using base plates.
