Using our own workshop we can provide bespoke products and made to measure sizes upon request. We offer supply, delivery and installation services. Located in Romford we are ideally placed to proudly serve East London and the surrounding areas.

Who we are

A truly family business of fence builders

First Choice Fencing started back in 2008 founded by two brothers - Dave and Jeff Austin. Joined soon after by another generation of brothers, Dave’s sons Rob and Rich Austin.

First Choice become a limited company in 2017. With Jeff retiring, Dave’s sons Rob and Rich Austin became Directors of the company. Dave has continued as the managing director sharing over 30 years of his experience in the fencing industry.

With true family values at the heart of what we do and a passion for all things fencing. We are First Choice Fencing Ltd fence builders.

They worked extremely hard, made hardly any mess and were very friendly and considerate as they had to carry the panels through the house. They put down plastic sheeting and avoided all doors and fittings. I would definitely recommend them. Linda Mears

All was perfect from the first contact on the phone, later quotation and job. I phoned and asked for a quote Rob kindly arranged it for me. One of their team came to my house and gave me very detailed quote. After that I arranged a job. I got a call confirming day before and was informed that they will arrive at 9 am. Very punctual exactly as said at 9. Both guys were very polite and they did amazing job. They were quick and did exactly what was agreed. They cleaned afterwards. The fence and gate are beautiful. I am definitely going back when going to be replacing my side fence. I highly recommend to everyone.

I contacted four different companies to give a quote for replacing our old garden fence. With a polite, unpatronising, knowledgeable approach and a competitive price, First Choice Fencing was the clear winner. From the start, when Dave came to look at the job and give an estimation for the work, the most important thing he did was listen to us. He explained clearly and concisely the different options available to us and never once made us feel like he was upselling more than we needed, unlike some of the others. When I booked them in for the work, Rob was helpful and accommodating with the date and time for the work to be done. He even phoned through the day before as a reminder and to check everything was still ok. On the date of the work, Lewis and Paul were excellent. Polite, courteous and extremely hard working. They did a remarkable job, first dismantling the old fence and concrete posts and installing the new posts and fence while taking great care and being mindful not to disturb or damage our neighbour’s garden. They were very grateful too. When they had finished, Lewis and Paul cleaned up and packed away so well you wouldn’t know they were there, other than having the immaculate new fence that they had just installed to look at. I would definitely recommend using First Choice Fencing to anyone. Thank you guys.

We had a quote, booked the date for the work to be done and had a phone call to tell us what time they would be arriving. Two lovely kind, polite gentleman turned up to do the work, who knew exactly what was to be done.  They worked hard and didn’t stop.  Very happy with the job that they did.  They finished everything off nicely, and cleared up after themselves, taking all the old fencing and gravel boards away. These two gentlemen are a credit to First Choice Fencing. and we will highly recommend this company if you want a first class job done.
